Lauren Hirsch, LCSW-C

Welcome, I'm so glad you've made this first step. Starting therapy can be scary; the idea of sharing your inner most thoughts and experiences with a stranger. I want you to know that my goal with all of my clients is to create a safe and supportive space and to meet you exactly where you are at. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, during which we will explore what is getting in your way of a life of meaning and purpose and how, together, we can learn skills and make sustainable changes.

I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Pennsylvania. I earned my Masters in Social work from The Catholic University of America (CUA) and my Bachelors in Psychology and minor in Social Work from The University of Dayton. During my graduate school training I provided individual counseling to undergraduate and graduate students at CUA’s counseling center. Upon graduating, I worked at a residential treatment center for young adults struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions, and chronic mental illness including bipolar and schizophrenia. I transitioned to serving clients solely through my private practice in December 2020.

I use evidenced based treatment with an integrative approach to therapy including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy (IPSRT).
